As predicted, the American railroad system is on the verge of shutting down as fake “president” Joe Biden’s talks with rail unions unravel.
We are told that Biden’s tentative rail union deal completely fell apart on Monday after a freight rail workers union patently rejected it. The Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Division of the Teamsters (BMWED) said it rejected Biden’s advances because management still refuses to offer paid time off to workers for illness or family emergency.
“Railroaders are discouraged and upset with working conditions and compensation and hold their employer in low regard,” announced union president Tony D. Cardwell in a statement. (Related: A potential railroad strike has been looming since back in the summer.)
“Railroaders do not feel valued. They resent the fact that management holds no regard for their quality of life, illustrated by their stubborn reluctance to provide a higher quantity of paid time off, especially for sickness.”
Cardwell added that BMWED plans to continue negotiating with rail companies until five days after Congress reconvenes on November 14 following the midterm elections.
This is a major embarrassment for the Resident-in-Chief, who just last month bragged that he is a successful dealmaker who was able to solve the ongoing rail crisis.
“Today is a win,” the dementia patient mumbled during a September 15 speech in the White House Rose Garden. “And I mean it sincerely: a win for America.”
“This agreement is validation – validation of what I’ve always believed: Unions and management can work together for the benefit of everyone,” Hunter’s dad added.
With BMWED’s recent rejection of Biden’s advancements, the fake president once again looks like a brain-damaged doofus, which is nothing new for the career politician with an extensive criminal background.
The Biden Crime Family, after all, has made a life out of braggadocious lies and garish displays of empty rhetoric. Now, that corrupt incompetency threatens to unravel a key component of American infrastructure: the railroad systems.
If things continue in the current direction, United States rail lines could completely shut down right before Thanksgiving and Christmas, delivering a death blow to the economy and its supply chains right before the busy holiday season.
“The Fart of the Deal,” joked one commenter about how a brain-addled Biden pretending to be Donald Trump by calling himself a successful dealmaker is just embarrassingly sad and pathetic.
“This was never about pay,” wrote someone else about how the problems inherent to rail extend far beyond just money. “It is about quality-of-life issues.”
“Railroad workers that move the freight across the country do not have scheduled days off, meaning they do not have weekends off,” this person added. “Railroad workers are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. If they want time off, they have to lay-off as sick, which causes them to be assessed points.”
Those points, the same commenter continued, have to be paid back, in a sense, by the rail worker working continuously for another 14 days straight in order to clear it from his record.ra This is modern-day slavery, and it is the reason why unions were formed in the first place.
“They typically get a call for work and have 90 minutes to report to work, work 10-12 hours moving a train, go to a crappy hotel for 10-24 hours, get called to work and work back home for 10-12 hours,” the commenter further explained.
“Their phone might ring 10 hours after that to do it all again. They get no holiday pay or sick days. They are on a constantly revolving work schedule starting at all hours of the day and night. The railroad policies are rigid and unfair.”
