The narrative surrounding the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) has shifted.
Suddenly, the orchestrator of the previous three years of covid hell, recognizing that people want answers and justice, are attempting to manipulate the public into just accepting what happened as a “mistake” and moving on.
The Atlantic‘s Emily Oster, a professor at Brown University, wrote an op-ed for the far-left magazine calling for a declaration of “pandemic amnesty.”
“We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID,” Oster says.
The closest thing yet to an outright admission that covid and the system’s response to it was based on lies and deception, Oster’s piece is simply astounding in what it portends for the future of criminal justice in our country.
When the powers that be commit crimes against humanity such as “covid,” we are now expected to just turn the other cheek and pretend it never happened. Are you okay with a system like that ruling over your life?
“It’s the headline we’ve been waiting to see – and, in the revisionist, gaslighting style that’s become the journalistic norm on the response to Covid – it’s about the closest thing to an outright admission of guilt that we’ve seen since Covid began,” writes Michael P. Senger on his The New Normal Substack blog.
“The article is about as pathetically transparent as it is self-serving.”
Looking back at Oster’s past tweets provides insight into why Oster wants amnesty: because she is among the many “authoritative sources” who pushed lockdowns, masks, and vaccines on the public.
On Nov. 13, 2020, for instance, Oster tweeted a call for all state governors to issue “a short term total lockdown over Thanksgiving week.”
Nearly four months prior, Oster called for a full lockdown of all schools, “like, right now.”
“How have we let bars and indoor dining be open and are not focused on schools?” she wrote. “Where are the resources? I cannot see an end, or solutions. I’m sad.”
Around the same time, Oster tweeted that “fear-based vaccine motivation” was inadequate to mass-vaccinate the public. Her solution? Vaccine mandates as a condition of staying employed and feeding one’s family.
“I’m in favor of vaccine mandates for students but I’m curious about this. Would you be worried for you?” Oster wrote in yet another tweet calling for more covid tyranny. “For the other students? (I assume you are vaccinated).”
Sorry, Oster, but you do not have the right to simply vindicate yourself of your calls for crimes against humanity now that it is overwhelmingly obvious that the whole thing was a contrived scam from the very beginning.
Playing dumb and pretending as though you just did not know any better is not going to cut it. As they say, ignorance of the law, so to speak, is no defense.
“Ignorance doesn’t work as an excuse when the policies involved abrogating your fellow citizens’ rights under an indefinite state of emergency, while censoring and canceling those who weren’t as ignorant,” Senger says.
“The inevitable result would be a society in which ignorance and obedience to the opinion of the mob would be the only safe position.”
Another fact is that at no point in her rant did Oster even bother to apologize for the things she advocated. Oster appears to be so narcissistic and tone deaf – not to mention special in her own mind – that she just wants it all to go away without consequence. Are you okay with that, America?
