Known as one of Washington D.C.’s “toughest punishers of J6 protesters” and a former POTUS appointee, U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan was assigned to hear the second federal case against former President Donald Trump. She will oversee the case accusing Trump of trying to overturn his 2020 election loss in the two months leading up to the “assault” on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters.
The 61-year-old federal judge, who was installed into her position by ex-President Barack Obama, has been pushing the harshest possible sentences for every January 6 political prisoner that has hit her courtroom. According to an analysis done by Associated Press on court records, she has convicted at least 38 people of Capitol riot-related “crimes.” All came with prison terms ranging from 10 days to over five years. Other judges have handed down sentences that are more lenient than those requested by prosecutors.
Also, she worked at Boies Schiller Flexner (BSF), the same law firm as Hunter, President Joe Biden’s “controversial” son. She was confirmed in 2014 as a federal judge, according to replies she provided to a Senate “questionnaire for judicial nominees” reviewed by Headline USA. Chutkan’s tenure at BSF overlapped with Hunter’s stint at the firm, where he was listed as counsel from 2009 to 2014.
Moreover, this is not the first time that the two will face each other in court. Chutkan has also ruled against Trump before in a separate Jan. 6 case. In Nov 2021, she refused his request to block the release of documents to the House’s J6 committee by asserting executive privilege. She rejected his arguments that he could hold privilege over documents from his administration even after Biden had cleared the way for the National Archives to turn the papers over. She wrote that Trump could not claim his privilege “exists in perpetuity.”
In the past ruling, the judge said, “Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President.” The federal appeals court in Washington affirmed her ruling and the Supreme Court rejected Trump’s appeal.
Podcaster and former Assistant Treasury Secretary Monica Crowley posted on X, the microblogging site formerly called Twitter. She tweeted: ” This is the level of contempt they have for the Constitution, the rule of law, and YOU,” with an attached screenshot of a news article titled, “Face-off with DC ‘punisher.'”

According to contributor Mark Pellin of the news site Headline USA, Chutkan harnesses deep ties to the Democrat Party and has also expressed a strong dislike of Trump. (Related: RIGGED: Daughter of judge overseeing Trump’s Manhattan DA case is Democrat activist who worked to elect Biden.)
Analysts are crying out for the judge to recuse herself from Trump’s case for “conflict of interest.” Experts are even seeing the occurrences as the Biden family syndicate’s way to steer the wheel away from their own controversies.
Christian internet personality JD Rucker also emphasized this in a Liberty Daily article. He wrote: “This entire debacle is designed to distract us from news of undeniable corruption from the Biden crime family. They timed this indictment perfectly to get patriots and conservative news outlets talking about the Trump indictment instead of the Biden crimes.”
Had they dropped it before Devon Archer’s testimony on Monday, it would have been overshadowed. If they dropped it Monday as bombshells from Archer’s testimony were being revealed, the news would have shared space in the conservative news echo chamber,” The “JD Rucker Show” podcast host pointed out.
Hunter’s former business partner and close friend testified before the Republican-led House Oversight Committee and admitted that the younger Biden used then-Vice Joe Biden’s “brand” while working for Burisma. According to lawmakers present during the closed-door questioning, 49-year-old Archer told them that at a meeting in Dubai on Dec. 4, 2015, Burisma’s owner Mykola Zlochevsky and top-tier official Vadym Pozharski asked him and Hunter for help. Hunter’s associate further detailed that company executives wanted to get Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the company for corruption, fired.
“The witness indicated that Hunter spoke to his father every day and Hunter may have put his father on the phone with any number of different people, and they never once spoke about any business dealings,” Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) told reporters. He said that included times when the younger Biden was with friends. There were also times when he was with “potential business partners or business partners.” But Joe met and spoke more than 20 times with various business associates who were paying for access to the Biden family, Archer admitted.
After a few months, the prosecutor got fired and the older Biden even bragged about it in a public speech back in January 2018, claiming he was personally responsible for getting that firing accomplished so quickly. He said he bullied the Ukrainian government by threatening to withhold a billion-dollar loan guarantee unless he got what he wanted.
“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired,” Biden proudly said.
