For the “crime” of blocking an entrance to an abortion clinic, five pro-life activists now face up to 11 years in prison. And the government agencies behind their persecution are in the crosshairs of freedom advocates everywhere who want them all shut down immediately.
Those who support freedom of speech and freedom of assembly want the Washington, D.C., U.S. Attorney’s office, a field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and a federal court to all be shut down for wrongfully convicting the five, who include:
• Lauren Handy, 28, of Alexandria, Va.
• John Hinshaw, 67, of Levittown, N.Y.
• Heather Idoni, 61, of Linden, Mich.
• William Goodman, 52, of the Bronx, N.Y.
• Herb Geraghty, 25, of Pittsburgh, Penn.
A federal grand jury convicted all five defendants of both alleged offenses in a two-count indictment charging them with numerous federal civil rights offenses. For blocking the entrance of a “reproductive health care” clinic in D.C. on Oct. 22, 2020, the defendants were each convicted of a felony conspiracy against rights, as well as a FACE Act offense.
“The defendants each face up to a maximum of 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $350,000,” reports explain.
“U.S. District Court Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, who presided over the trial, ordered the defendants immediately detained as required by statute. Sentencing will be scheduled at a later date.”

Evidence presented at trial showed that the defendants conspired to create a blockade at the abortion clinic. They all traveled there from various states to join together in blockading the facility, an act that they coordinated in a Facebook group.
“According to the evidence, Handy, Hinshaw, Idoni, and Goodman forcefully entered the clinic and set about blockading two clinic doors using their bodies, furniture, chains and ropes,” reports explain.
“Once the blockade was established, their activities were live-streamed. The evidence also showed that the defendants violated the FACE Act by using a physical obstruction to injure, intimidate and interfere with the clinic’s employees and a patient, because they were providing or obtaining reproductive health services.”
Keep in mind that at the very same time these pro-life activists were trying to protect unborn human life, Black Lives Matter (BLM) terrorists were roving the streets of D.C. burning down buildings and hurting people – and none of them were ever tried or convicted.
These same BLM terrorists blocked traffic, which is similar to blocking the entrance of an abortion clinic, and even disrupted the movement of emergency vehicles that were trying to save people’s lives by getting them to a hospital.
“Add to that Antifa protesters who disrupt traffic and resort to violence while advocating for abortion, all while seemingly facing no real legal consequences whatsoever,” reported Revolver.
