More and more conservatives are turning to social media to expose how they found out that they were included in a secret watchlist otherwise known as SSSS, Quad S or Secondary Security Screening Selection of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Being on this list will cause any air traveler inconvenience as they’ll undergo screenings in the form of pat-downs, extra luggage inspections, swabs for explosives and more – and it will likely eat precious time, adding about 15-45 minutes longer than expected in airport security, causing passengers to miss flights and have anxious thoughts on security and safety.
The said list came to public attention when renowned investigative journalist James O’Keefe discovered his name is on the dreaded list and subsequently began digging for more information about it. He saw the tag SSSS on his boarding pass. “Trying to understand the ‘SSSS’ designations on my domestic boarding passes. PBI shut down the entire passenger line while I went through. The agent says ‘Your name sounds familiar. Contact the State Department to get off the list.’ Is this common? TSA agent says ‘once a month at PBI,'” he posted on X, formerly Twitter.
On the same thread, he replied: “Just received this from a [Department of Homeland Security] DHS employee: ‘In 2015, SSSS was only for people on the terrorist watch list. In addition to the additional screening at the checkpoint, it also meant federal air marshals were on the plane following the person. TSA has intel specialists that attend joint terrorism meetings across the country with the FBI etc.'” According to his DHS source, it very much appears this list has now been politicized post-Jan. 6 and that the list is run by a background system called “secure flight,” which checks everyone’s name and birthday they voluntarily enter when booking a ticket.
“FYI to avoid SSSS screening, just ‘accidentally’ enter the wrong birthday when booking your ticket. That was used by selectees, as they were called in the 2015 timeframe. A person only got caught when they flew internationally when their passport was scanned,” the employee added.

Former U.S. Senate nominee Lauren Witzke had a FOIA request on the disturbing SSSS watchlist because she had undergone these security checks a year after she ran for the 2020 elections. She would have to be three hours early for her flight and would always be told that this was just a “random selection.” But over time, she felt humiliated and suspected something was not right, thus the FOIA request. Her request was refused and she was taken off the watch list one day later.

Conservative activist Brandon Straka also found himself on TSA’s “domestic terrorism” watchlist and given a designation of SSSS. Apart from hours of screening, a team of TSA agents (12 or more) would follow him around the airport with dogs. He was accused by the DOJ of having encouraged hundreds of people during the Jan. 6 protest. He stood outside of the open doors of the Capitol and said the words “go, go.” These people, he said, wouldn’t have been able to hear him anyway. “Presuming that the above is true, this is why I have been placed on a domestic terrorist list and this is why you and everybody you care about have been significantly less safe the past three years as the majority of security resources are being weaponized to harass and punish Trump supporters,” he said in a social media post. (Related: TSA is allegedly harassing the friends and family of J6ers with invasive enhanced searches and pat-downs.)

Air Marshal National Council (AMNC) Director Sonya LaBosco admitted that the Federal Air Marshals Service (FAMS) was ordered by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to continue to watch their “suspected” protesters instead of protecting people aboard planes.
“We’re not flying right now. On most flights, you’re not going to have air marshals,” she told Fox News. “The only missions that we’re doing are ‘Quiet Skies’ missions, which are following the Jan. 2021 people.” The Quiet Skies missions have used up the FAMS’ resources by forcing air marshals to monitor people who flew into Washington, D.C. ahead of the Jan. 6 protest. “You did not have to go to the Capitol, or the rally and you’ve been put on a specific list that TSA now has assigned air marshals to follow these people who have not had any type of criminal investigation. They haven’t committed a crime, but yet three years later, we’re following the same individuals day in and day out,” the AMNC director revealed.
She even disclosed one instance where the marshals followed a man who had been placed on the “terror watchlist” for simply going to a funeral near Washington that day in 2021. According to LaBosco, individuals may have been aware at that time that they were being followed because they were singled out for special screening and enhanced security measures at the airport, the Quad S list.
