A wealthy fitness coach living in a $1.5 million home has become the latest face of the left’s escalating campaign against Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk, after she was caught on video keying a Tesla with a child inside during a petty road rage incident.
Kamelia Enzler, 55, co-owner of iPeak Fitness and wife of a DocuSign software executive, now faces potential felony charges for the March 20 vandalism at Issaquah Commons in yet another example of how progressive vitriol toward Musk has devolved into brazen property destruction.
While police insist Enzler’s actions weren’t politically motivated, the incident aligns with a disturbing national trend: Since Musk joined the Trump administration to lead federal efficiency reforms, Tesla vehicles and dealerships have been torched, shot at, and defaced with swastikas from Seattle to South Carolina. The so-called “Tesla Takedown” movement, fueled by left-wing activists, has exposed the hypocrisy of a movement that preaches tolerance yet resorts to vandalism when confronted with dissent.
Enzler’s case went viral after journalist Jonathan Choe shared footage of her slashing the Tesla’s paint while shouting at the driver, who had a child in the back seat. According to reports, Enzler flipped off the driver before exiting her Toyota 4Runner to key the car. Despite her affluent lifestyle, Enzler’s childish act mirrors the entitled aggression of activists who have made Tesla owners collateral damage in their crusade against Musk.
“It’s crazy that something like this has turned into a political thing,” said Dallas Tesla owner Jeff Nguyen, whose car was keyed at an airport last week. His sentiment underscores the absurdity of the attacks: Many victims, like Nguyen, bought Teslas for their electric efficiency, not politics. Yet the left’s rage has spared no one.
In Las Vegas, a suspect faces federal charges for firebombing a Tesla repair center. In West Fargo, a Cybertruck owner tracked down a vandal via social media after his vehicle was scratched in a Costco parking lot.
The Justice Department has vowed to prosecute Tesla attackers as domestic terrorists, but the silence from prominent Democrats has been deafening. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), who insists the “Tesla Takedown” protests are “nonviolent,” sidestepped condemnation of the arson and bullets fired at dealerships. Meanwhile, Indivisible, a progressive group, claims its members only hold “peaceful protests on the sidewalk”—a dubious claim given the charred shells of Teslas in Berlin and Oregon.
Elon Musk, now a lightning rod for leftist fury, has blamed “left-wing propaganda” for the backlash. His role in streamlining government waste under Trump has made him Public Enemy No. 1 for activists who once praised his climate-friendly cars. The hypocrisy is glaring: The same movement that claims to champion inclusivity now bullies ordinary Tesla drivers while ignoring the irony of wealthy elites like Enzler destroying property to spite a billionaire they dislike.
The Enzler case is a microcosm of the left’s descent into performative outrage. As the “Tesla Takedown” movement continues its global protests, its activists would do well to remember that true tolerance doesn’t involve keying cars or firebombing dealerships—especially when the perpetrators preach social justice from million-dollar homes. If liberals truly believe in “living their values,” perhaps they should start by respecting the property of others, no matter who makes their cars.
